County Business Patterns – Map Data on Arts Businesses

This map visualizes data from the County Business Patterns Data , which provides subnational economic data for establishments with paid employees by industry and employment size in the United States.

For this visualization, we filtered the data to focus on arts, entertainment and recreation establishments (NAICS Code 71) and summarized key indicators including annual counts of employer establishments, mid-March employment, and annual payroll for arts establishments by county. These metrics provide a broad view of the presence, financial capacity, and longevity of these establishments in each state.
